Q&A with Green Velvet!!!
From his early days as Cajmere and the release of the massive “Coffee Pot (It’s Time for the Perculator)” to the Green Velvet transformation and the live act he sported which included him playing the keytar (how awesome is that!?), Curtis Jones as been a pioneer on all fronts. His contributions to electronic music are kind of monumental and calling him one of Chicago house’s ultimate heroes is almost an understatement. This guy is what they call an OG.
He’s also known as an elusive figure who rarely does interviews so when we got the answers back from the Q&A in our mailbox this week, we were like “Yoooooo!”
He’ll be playing the main stage this Sunday June 27th at 7:30pm.
Read on.
