ALCOHOL POLICY

In order to preserve the spirit and atmosphere of the event while ensuring the security of the thousands of people who attend Piknic every Sunday, we’re allowing people to bring their own alcohol, if accompanied by an actual picnic* – and chips are not a meal, as we all know!

Outside alcohol will be strictly limited per person to 750ml of wine (one bottle) OR the equivalent of 1.1 litres of beers (3 small cans of 355ml or 2 tall cans of 500ml, etc). It is still prohibited to bring hard liquor.

For those who forget to bring a lunch, or who don’t look forward to dragging a cooler on the metro, we’ve thought of you.  It’s now possible to buy, upon entry to the site, a "picnic coupon" for the cost of $10, exchangeable for a meal at the Piknic snack counter.  These are assembled with all four major Piknic food groups in mind: a choice of hot dog, hamburger or crepe, a bag of chips, a bottle of water, and an apple. Mmmm!
