MASSIVART @ PikniCubik

Imagine that somewhere there is a secret village where designers and illustrators have been raised to concoct wild images to imprint on T-shirts. Are they trolls from the dark woods of Northern Quebec? Not quite. Are they hipsters from Mile End? No comment. We can’t tell you where we trapped them. All we can say is that we’ve gathered six such artists and will put them on display by the Calder come Labour Day weekend, where they’ll be producing t-shirts for everyone to the theme of PikniCubik!
They are MASSIVartists (born at massivart.ca), and they have it in their lifeblood to spread art everywhere. Like famous gold ponies, they have been rounded up and showcased at the coolest happenings in Montreal, wherever their t-shirting talents are needed most. And since coolness and its sexy cousin hipness are a hot commodity for most everyone during the three days of the coming long weekend, they’ll be on hand all three days to brighten your plain t-shirts, provided you follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Pick your t-shirt. They have many colors and sizes for you to choose from, so don’t settle for the first grey x-large you see. You can even bring a t-short from home or pick one up at “Take Off Your Clothes”.
Step 2: Select a design from the six on offer.

Step 3: Watch the magic happen. Your plain, previously unimportant t-shirt will be transformed Cinderella-style into the hottest top in the park.
Step 4: Pay up. Surfing the edges of cool is never free, my friends. But keep a smile on your face as you do, because $1 from your payment goes the Leucan charity, dedicated to helping kids with cancer.
MASSIVart will be a PikniCubik all weekend long, so why not silkscreen all your clothes!
