As part of Quartier des Spectacle’s new season, the Latin Quarter has granted the inaugural event to OUMF!

OUMF is a festival in its first year, taking place in the heart of the Latin Quarter from September 2^nd to 10^th. St. Denis Street will be closed from Sherbrooke to Ste. Catherine streets for the duration of the event.

OUMF contains five branches: design and visual arts, cinema, literature, knowledge, and music. Music? Piknic! To celebrate the launch of the festival, Piknic will be on hand in front of the Latin Quarter cinema, on Emery Street. On the bill this Friday, September 2^nd from 8:30pm to 11pm is veteran Montreal DJ Soundshaper (CA), whom many of you will know from the city’s clubs. For us, it’s also a great way to launch PikniCubik, which starts the next day at Parc Jean Drapeau’s Place de l’Homme.

Our lovely mascot Decibelle will be out on the streets, shaking hands, giving out hugs, and doling out prizes to unwitting recipients!
