Alongside his brother Komodo, Hosta (aka Nick Burton) has helped foster a booming and international bass scene.  The Komodo Dubs shows have reached huge heights, both with their diverse headliners (Shackleton, RSD, Sukh Knight, 2562) and their immense reception.  As a DJ, Hosta is known for mixing and matching everything from deep dub to “Wot U Call it?” and frequently enjoys taking risks in his selections, always keeping his main goal in mind: raising the energy on the dance floor to new heights.

Komodo is a Montreal-based composer, musician and DJ who specializes in playing fast dub basslines on the Australian didgeridoo, as well as producing heavy beats and bass, and playing an assortment of other instruments such as Turkish flute and frame drum. His DJ sets feature live performance on his instruments and showcase many of his original tracks produced specifically for his live shows. In Montreal, Komodo currently runs a bass music night called Komodo Dubs that has been graced by such international electronic music luminaries as Shackleton, 2562, Benga, and Caspa.

Jack Dunning aka Untold is currently releasing some of the finest boundary pushing music around.  Picked up in early 2008 by Hessle Audio, his Kingdom EP introduced a sonic palate that was nuanced, understated but with bags of bass weight. 2009 unfolded with a slew of essential remixes for 2nd Drop and Planet Mu, alongside original material on Hotflush and Brainmath.  2010 holds further promise.  Jack continues to show his A&R spurs with the likes of Mount Kimbie, James Blake, Cosmin TRG and Ramadanman gracing the label.

Founders and operators of the Microzoo events company and record label, Nathan Burns (aka Jonathan) and Elio Krass (aka Loïc) have been actively building the Montreal scene since 2005. The style of Microzoo is rooted on the dancefloor, somewhere between techno and house music, filled with pure sounds and intonations on rhythm, original structures and the subtleness of sound design. The label’s mission is to discover the sounds, the history and the esthetics of emerging artists as well as the hidden talents of recognized producers.
